Police Dog Visit!

Zack from Room 19 and his Dad Sheridan arranged for their friend Brendan and Deja to come to school last Friday.  Brendan is a police officer and Deja his very well trained sidekick! It was so interesting to hear all about how he trained Deja and the work that Deja does as a police dog. Sheridan was kind enough (and brave enough) to put the special sleeve on so they could demonstrate how Deja can catch a suspect until Brendan can catch up to them.

Beak Geeks!

This Term our big idea is 'change' and the Juniors are looking specifically at how different birds have different types of beaks and why they are so different.

We are using our Junior investigation cycle PLANS to answer our questions...

Another Go for Gold Award!

Room 18 would like to congratulate Mahin on receiving her Go for Gold award in Assembly this term from Mr Kennedy. You really have been modelling the attributes of a College Street Kid this year Mahin and we are very proud of you. 

                                               

Life Education Mobile Classroom!

We had our last day with Tim and Harold today in the Life Education mobile classroom. Tim and Harold work really well as a team and taught us so much about being a kind friend and also how to keep our bodies healthy and safe so it can do all the amazing things it does! 

Kids.... maybe you can do the personality haka for your family....

On Friday the Junior Syndicate got to meet big Harold in the auditorium which was very special.

Today we were each given a special friend to meet and take care of on an 'overnight journey'. We had to pack what we needed to keep us safe and healthy and look after our friend during our exciting adventure!
