Go for Gold!

Congratulations to Sophie Hyland who received a Go for Gold certificate from Mr Kennedy at the last assembly. We are very proud of you Sophie and the way you share your thinking with our class. Keep striving for excellence! 

Badminton

During Term 2 on Fridays we have a Junior Syndicate sports rotation. For the last two weeks one of our rotations has been badminton. JoJo and Sam from the senior school have been teaching us skills such as hitting forehand and backhand and getting it over the net! 

Star Lab

The Star Lab came to College Street and what an exciting adventure that was!  Felix wrote about his experience on Google Docs.  We learned how to add an image to our document too.

Junior Syndicate Assembly Term 2

It was the Junior Syndicate's turn to host Assembly in week 4. We decided to dress up as our favourite story book character.  Room 20 put on a fantastic version of The Three Little Pigs and the Assembly was carried out as if we were hearing a story.  

Also we want to congratulate Natalia Gaskell who received a Go for Gold award from Mr Kennedy at the Assembly. Keep going for gold Natalia! 

The variety of costumes was fabulous! We had Franklin the Turtle,
Puss in Boots, Spiderman, Tiger and Alice in Wonderland to name just a few.

Story Circle Map

 Team 18 put out heads together to come up with all the stories we know and made a living circle map to display them all. We knew a lot of fairy tales and other great stories! 

Fantasy Cave

The Junior Syndicate kicked off Term 2 with an action packed trip to Dannevirke to visit the Fantasy Cave as a lead into our Expression through Storytelling unit.  Photos inside were prohibited but we have some fantastic memories! A big thank you to the adult helpers who came too!

While we waited for our turn we heard a story about Witchy who was shopping for a new spell! 

We stopped in to a Dannevirke school for some lunch.

Mrs Waller came to the Fantasy Cave with us as she had never been before.
Thanks for your help! 

We were so excited to see those windmills up close on our bus trip. 

The weather was not the best but it didn't stop Team 18 having a wonderful day.
